Influenza virus activity in the Republic of Serbia - season 2012/2013

Epidemiological situation flu is expected and normal for this time of year. During the third the reporting week (from 14.1.2013. till 20.1.2013. years) in the Republic of Serbia by 3241 urban population monitoring recorded case of influenza-like illness.
Based on weekly reports that prikupljuju over the network of institutes and institutes of public health and shipped Institute of Public Health of Serbia, the Republic of Serbia registered a low activity of influenza virus, a slight increase in the number of patients with influenza-like illness and sporadic cases of the disease. As of 25.1.2013. year, in 27 patients with confirmed influenza virus infection. The country had confirmed the circulation of all three types of influenza virus A (H1), A (H3) and B.

Confirmed cases are from the territory of eight Southern Bačka District, Northern Bačka, Ju?nobanatskog, Braničevo, Srem, of Western, Kolubara and the Belgrade district. Of patients with confirmed influenza virus, a 26-time was not vaccinated against the seasonal flu vaccine.
