Influenza B makes its rounds

The Sauk Centre boys? basketball team wasn?t the only segment of the population hit by the influenza B virus the past several weeks.

Lakeview Medical Clinic reported a bump in cases this year.

?We saw more cases this year than last, and it seemed to be more of the younger population,? said Jane Jenc, a physicians assistant at Lakeview. ?The first round was elementary age and younger, then the high school students. There have also been some adults affected.?

Jenc said even people who received their annual flu shot still contracted the virus...
