Influenza A imposes further challenges to China

December 11, 2009, 07:44 Beijing, Dec 11 (Prensa Latina) Chinese health officials today predicted a possible increase in cases of influenza A (H1N1) before an increase in travel during holiday periods in the next two months and downs in the temperatures.
As you approach the New Year and Spring Festival, a figure more people will move across the country, making it more difficult to control the disease, at a press conference ahead ministry spokesman Deng Haihua Public Health .
He added that January and February will be very critical in this regard.

He confirmed that vaccination will be extended to other sectors of the population, including pregnant women, vets and migrant workers. The health ministry recently reported that 13.7 percent of deaths from this cause belonged to the first of these groups.
