BANDARLAMPUNG - bird flu virus (Avian Influenza / AI) to take its toll.

BANDARLAMPUNG - bird flu virus (Avian Influenza / AI) to take its toll. Subakir (59),
citizens Jatibaru, Tanjungbintang, South Lampung, died due to suspected
(suspect) has suffered from the vicious virus.

Subakir died at Regional General Hospital, dr. Hi. Abdul Moeloek (RSUDAM)
yesterday at around 15:45 pm. He breathed his last 30 minutes after
arrived at the hospital's Lampung Provincial Government.

Victims had intensive treatment in the emergency installation dararut (IGD).
Previously, the victim was taken to RSUDAM at around 15:12.

Prisma Violent (25), law Subakir, say, the victim was suffering from ill
during the last month. According to him, the victim suspected of having bird flu because
many birds die in this month at about where he lived.
''From the morning until the afternoon (yesterday), the father's body temperature is high enough. Body temperature
reached 40.9 degrees Celsius. Knowing that, we immediately took
father to Immanuel Hospital (RSI) at around 11:30, "he said to the daily
yesterday.

Therefore, continued Prisma, Subakir only undergo outpatient treatment. He states,
initial goals he brought the victim to RSI because they want to check the disease in

bronchopneumonia caused by bird flu, "he said.

Lampung ::: A man possibly dies of bird flu infection

Bandar lampung ? Subakir, 59-year-old, a resident of Jatibaru, Tanjungbintang, South Lampung, possibly died of avian influenza infection. He died on Thursday, 18 March, only in 30 minutes after admitted to Abdoel Moeloek regional hospital.

Patient?s daughter in law, Prisma Violet (25) said that Subakir had been sick within a month. He was stated as bird flu suspect because many chickens died around his neighborhood.

?He had fever yesterday (18 March) about 40.9 centigrade. Then we brought him to Immanuel hospital around 11.30,? she said. Subakir was brought to Immanuel hospital to have check up for internal disease as an outpatient. Medical check showed that he had bronchopneumonia which possibly caused by bird flu and chronic hepatitis B infection.

?After that the hospital referred him to Abdoel Moeloek regional hospital. He was vomiting blood at the emergency unit before he died,? added Prisma.
