Outbreaks of Avian Influenza Attack Jambi
JAMBI, KOMPAS.com - Thousands of chickens in Kerinci district is spread across two districts and five villages in Jambi, died of bird flu (H5N1).
Secretary Animal Husbandry Department Kerinci regency, Jambi Igor on Wednesday (02/02/2011) said, now recorded at least 4164 chickens owned by residents who died of bird flu.
"In order to prevent the spread and development of the epidemic, Kerinci District Animal Husbandry Department is now working hard to do prevention by conducting training to citizens and conduct spraying," he said.
In a separate statement the Head of Animal Health Kerinci District, Ariyan said the two districts and five villages were attacked by the bird flu outbreak include, village in Sleman Kecamtan Lake Kerinci, and village Sebukar, red, Cape Young, New Koto Hiang and Central Pendung in sub Sitinjau Sea.
