Jakarta (VNA) – The number of dengue cases in Indonesia doubled in March compared to the corresponding period in 2023, said the Health Ministry.

As reported by the country’s national news agency Antara, Head of the ministry's Public Communication and Services Bureau Siti Nadia Tarmizi said there were 35,000 cases logged in March from 15,000 posted the same month last year.

According to a report from the ministry, the number of dengue cases began increasing at the end of February.​..

JAKARTA: At least 316 people have succumbed to Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Indonesia as of last month, Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Herbuwono said.

Among the districts and cities hardest hit by DHF fatalities are Jepara, Kendal and Blora in Central Java Province, along with Bandung and Subang in West Java Province.

During the Commission IX meeting in Parliament, he said the increase in DHF cases was influenced by the El Nino phenomenon, where dengue-causing mosquitoes become more aggressive in higher temperatures.​..

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Health Ministry has reported that as of the 14th week of 2024, at least 455 people have died of dengue fever in Indonesia, with the total number of cases recorded at 60,296.

In a statement received here on Monday, head of communication and public services at the ministry, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, informed that during the corresponding period of the previous year, the nation recorded 20,502 dengue cases and 162 deaths.

According to Tarmizi, of the five districts and cities with the most dengue deaths this year, Bandung district is leading with 25 deaths, followed by Jepara district with 21 deaths, and Subang district with 18.​..

​Jakarta (ANTARA) - The number of deaths from dengue fever in Indonesia this year has surged by 179.4 percent to 475 as of the 15th week, compared to 170 deaths recorded in the same period last year, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Dengue fever cases this year also saw a significant increase, reaching 62,001 as of week 15 – a 174.9 percent jump from the 22,551 cases reported during the same period in 2023.

Head of Communication and Public Services at the ministry, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, noted in a statement on Monday that five districts and cities recorded the highest number of deaths from dengue fever in 2024: Bandung District (25), Jepara District (21), Subang District (18), Kendal District (16), and Bekasi City (15).

Meanwhile, five districts and cities with the highest number of cases are Tangerang District (2,540), Bandung City (1,741), West Bandung District (1,422), Lebak District (1,326), and Depok City (1,252)...

The advisory was made after several Australian tourists were diagnosed with dengue fever during a 10-day holiday in Bali.

JAKARTA – Indonesia has seen almost three times as many deaths from dengue fever so far this year compared to the same period last year, as warmer weather triggered by the El Niño climate phenomenon drives up cases across the country.

The Health Ministry has discovered roughly 62,000 dengue cases with 475 deaths from January to mid-April, almost triple the 22,500 cases and 170 deaths during the same period last year.

In January this year alone, Indonesia saw 25,218 cases of dengue, the highest monthly rate in five years. Dengue-related deaths reached 191 in February, the highest number of monthly fatalities since January 2022.

Jakarta (VNA) – The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported a significant increase in the number of dengue fever cases compared to the same period last year.

The ministry's spokeswoman Siti Nadia Tarmizi said there were 88,593 cases logged in the first fourth months of this year, a threefold increase from the number of 28,570 recorded in the corresponding period last year.

The five districts and cities with the highest number of cases are Bandung city (3,468), Tangerang district (2,540), Bogor city (1,944), Kendari city (1,658) and West Bandung district (1,576).

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Health Ministry has recorded 799 dengue deaths and 131,501 dengue cases as of the 23rd week of 2024.

The number of cases exceeds the total case count in 2023, with 114,720 cases and 894 fatalities.

Head of the ministry's Communications and Public Services Bureau Siti Nadia Tarmizi said on Thursday that the ongoing uncertain climate, which alternates between rainy and hot, is contributing to the high rate of dengue infections.

She said that the most deaths have been recorded in Bandung District (32), Klaten District (29), Subang District (22), and Jepara District (21).

They have been followed by Kendal District (20), Bekasi City (19), Grobogan District (18), Bogor District (17), Bandung City (15), and Probolinggo District (14).

The 10 districts and cities with the most cases include Bandung City (4,446), Tangerang District (3,105), Depok City (2,690), West Jakarta (2,536), East Jakarta (2,329), and Malang District (2,255).
