Hungary is among the countries reporting one of the highest mortality figures in relation to the H1N1 influenza strain the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control said in a new report.
While in most parts of Europe there were 0.3 to 0.6 deaths for every 100,000 diagnosed patient, in Hungary 1.2 to 1.6 died.
Experts responded saying that the poor statistics are due to Hungarian authorities? ?too accurate? management of data, compared to other countries that did not keep proper records on the actual spread of the disease.
