Dead birds collected for H7N9 testing

07-04-2013

Dead birds have been found in several districts on both sides of the harbour this morning as the territory heightens its vigilance against bird flu.

It follows the increasing threat caused by the H7N9 virus on the mainland.
Police say three dead birds were found in Kwun Tong, Tseung Kwan O and Yuen Long this morning.

And, in Central, staff from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have collected three.

The carcasses have all been taken away for examination to see if they carry the virus.
