Tegucigalpa, March 3 .- The Minister of Health of Honduras, Arturo Bendana, said today that the country has no drugs to fight the virus of human influenza A/H1N1, at a time when there is a resurgence of the disease in this country Central.
"We face a new outbreak at this time without the hospital network capacity to care for seriously ill patients," said the minister told local radio.
He explained that in the northern city of San Pedro Sula, the second largest in the country, confirmed nine cases of human influenza in a bilingual school.
In another bilingual school in Tegucigalpa 122 were affected, which was closed temporarily, while in secondary schools reported seven cases of the disease.
"We lack medicine, there is a supply only 50 percent," said Bendana.
