About 60 maternal deaths were recorded in the Hospital School
So far this year, because the women are losing their lives before,
during or after childbirth, according to records from the authorities
.

The wards in the Maternal and Infant Pathology
remain full of women infected.

The deaths of the women are related to childbirth is
that at the time of pregnancy or childbirth, and this has
the wake-up call on epidemiologists, as most
these deaths are young women.

Authorities are investigating the motives of hospital deaths in the
women of reproductive age, and they suspect that the problem may
be, the lifestyle of women during pregnancy, or is it a
mishandling hospital or bacteria that are acquired in schools
care
.

Among the diseases which causes loss of life for women, is the
eclampsia and maternal septicemia, or abortions, since these patients
are taken to Intensive Care Unit where he finally
expire.

Postpartum wards of the Hospital Materno Infantil, usually
remain at its full capacity parturients suffering
some type of infection and that is what is causing the high
mortality.

Some of the goals that the authorities have mentioned is
further analysis of maternal mortality in Honduras
through the investigation of beliefs, knowledge, values, attitudes
and practices about motherhood, people makers
public policy.
