CHANDIGARH: Moderate to heavy rain on flashed Himachal Pradesh on Friday while Punjab and Haryana cointinued to be full of hummidity except some places due to the South-West Monsoon is not activated. The clous have been hovering over northern states for the last thre days.


According to the Meteorological Department, Ambala, Karnal, Morni and Kalka in Haryana were among places, which experienced light rain since Wednesday.


Madhopur, Nangal Dam area, Shahpur Kandi, Ludhiana and Amritsar were among the few places in Punjab to receive showers.
In Himachal Pradesh, heavy rains lashed Sundernagar (35mm), Nahan (39 mm), Nadaun (55 mm), while Shimla (14.6 mm) and Una (3.6) received light-to-moderate rain.


The Met Department has forecast moderate-to-heavy rain or thundershowers at many places in the region over the next two days, while a heavy rain warning has been issued at a few places in Himachal Pradesh.
