Pregnant women who underwent the H1N1 vaccination during the influenza epidemic did not endanger their babies, a study has confirmed.
The H1N1 vaccine, widely used during the 2009 influenza pandemic, did not stunt the fetal development of unborn children or affect their first year of life, a study has confirmed.
The study, presented at the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) annual meeting, studied 1,739 Dutch women who were pregnant in 2009. 68 per cent had accepted the offer of vaccine Focetria at the time.
