PARIS, Aug 8 (Reuters)
Dozens of foreign teenagers and adults have been diagnosed with H1N1 swine flu at a language school in Cap d'Ail in southern France, local authorities said on Saturday.
Five adults and 59 teenagers at the school showed flu-like symptoms, and 10 of them were tested first for influenza A in general, then for the H1N1 swine flu virus specifically.
"The 10 samples tested positive for the H1N1 virus," Thierry Mathieu, a medic at the public health authority DDASS in the region, told Reuters.
The patients have been isolated in one of the buildings of the Centre Mediterraneen Linguistique summer school, where some 150 teenagers and about 30 adults from Europe, the United States, Russia, Kuwait and elsewhere are studying French.
Some students left the school after the H1N1 flu broke out and new arrivals were cancelled for the time being.
