Guam has recorded its first confirmed case of H1N1 infection.

A statement issued by the island?s Office of the Acting Governor, says the affected individual, a federal employee on Andersen Air Force Base, had returned from a trip to Texas and exhibited flu-like symptoms.

The case was confirmed by the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services.

The statement did not identify the gender of the affected person but a Pacific Daily News article on its website says it?s a woman.
