Dead wild boars are examined for African swine fever in Brandenburg. The samples are examined in the Berlin-Brandenburg state laboratory. If a result is positive, the official suspicion is established and the sample is immediately forwarded to the National Reference Laboratory - the Friedrich Loeffler Institute (FLI) for confirmation.
