A man in 60s from ?rebro County have been found dead at his home. The man estimated to have died of heart attack associated with influenza illness
The man was in contact with the doctor early last week to receive extended sick leave. He had been absent from work for a week and did not feel healthy enough to return to work. The man reported not having been seriously ill.
A few days after the medical visit, the man found dead in his home by a relative.
The autopsy shows that the man died of a recent myocardial infarction. Sampling carried out shows that the man wore on influenza A (H1N1). Influenza is believed to have triggered a heart attack, which was the direct cause of death.
This is the second flu-related death is caused to ?rebro in a short time. Just over a week ago died a man in his 50s after a period of febrile illness. The autopsy showed a heart attack with complications caused by swine flu was the cause of death.
