French President Emmanuel Macron has tested positive for COVID-19. It informed Elys?e on Thursday.
Macron will isolate itself for 7 days. The French president will continue to work and “assure his activities from a distance,” the Elys?e said in a communiqu?. Macron was tested after showing the first symptoms of the coronavirus, but sources to BFMTV said these were mild. All activities that the President cannot remotely have been canceled.
In the meantime, French Prime Minister Jean Castex, who had contact with Macron, is also going into isolation, his official residence Matignon has said.
