First case of complications proven A/H1N1 in France
In the latest newsletter online Wednesday, 133 cases of influenza A/H1N1 have been confirmed in France.
So far these cases were mild, the first proven cases of complications of A/H1N1 has been registered. According to the Institut de Veille Sanitaire (InVS), it is a woman aged 40 who returned from a trip the United States.
Hospitalized on 10 June for suspected influenza, confirmation of contamination by the A/H1N1 virus was confirmed the next day (1). Despite a treatment, his condition had worsened in the space of 48 hours to arrive at a "severe respiratory syndrome" linked to a bacterial superinfection.
