"According to information from the National Epidemiology Centre, flu epidemic is expanding in some areas of the country. Between 24th and 30th January 2011 the flu affected approximately 42 000 people, in fact one and a half times more patients consulted a doctor about flu-like symptoms than the week before that.
Rates of seasonal flu are already rising in west Europe. Around three-quarters of cases of influenza are caused by the H1N1 ?A? virus and the remaining cases are caused by ?B? virus.
Some of our patients wondered at our Vaccination Centre whether they needed another flu vaccination if they had had one last year. Repeated annual influenza vaccination is recommended to everyone by Dr Zsolt Pinter, the Director of Vaccination Centre of Dr.. Rose Private Hospital.
