As of 12/17/2010, 870 flu cases have been reported in the 14 counties within the Southwest Georgia Public Health District

ALBANY, GA -- The Southwest Georgia Public Health District in Albany confirms the first flu-related death of the current flu season.

Carolyn Maschke, Public Information Officer for the Southwest Georgia Public Health District, told FOX 31 News today that a 37-year-old Lee County woman died on December 6 after contracting the flu.
