Flu activity drops in Wyoming
Associated Press - December 1, 2009 10:55 AM ET
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming Health Department spokeswoman Kim Deti says that after reaching levels not seen in at least 10 years, flu activity in Wyoming decreased dramatically last month.
But Deti warns there's no way to know what the rest of the flu season holds, and says people should still get vaccinated.
Since late May, the Wyoming Department of Health has documented more than 700 laboratory-confirmed cases of swine flu. Health officials can't say exactly how many people have been vaccinated, but by the end of this week the state will have received more than 112,000 doses of swine flu vaccine.
