Flu A (H1N1) caused 28 deaths in Santa Catarina in 2012

Twenty eight persons died in Saint Catarina, in 2012, because of the flu A (H1N1). The data are of the General office of State of the Saint's Health Catarina and they were updated up to the last Sunday (17). The nearby state already confirmed 309 cases of the disease on basis of examinations laboratoriais. The local authorities that concentrate the biggest number of confirmed cases of H1N1 are Blumenau (38), Fraiburgo (22), Itaja? (19), Grapevine (16), Brusque (14) and Saint Jos? (14). Florian?polis, capital of the state, registers nine confirmed situations.

Four persons died in Blumenau and two in Shark as a result of complications caused by the virus Influenza To (H1N1). There was register of a death in each one of the next local authorities: Ant?nio Carlos, Aurora, Benedito Novo, Bigua?u, Good Jesus, Brusque, Capivari of Bass, Florian?polis, Itai?polis, Itaja?, Itapema, Ituporanga, Lages, Navigators, Nova Trento, Pomerode, Rio of the Field, Whistlers, Three Bars, Treviso, Grapevine and Vitor Meireles.

Through the report, the General office of State of the Saint's Health Catarina informed that it is in alert and monitors other cases of respiratory serious infection. General office of State and Health communicates list of cases of Influenza in SC. Oporto Union waits for result laboratorial of a case


The General office of State of the Health (CATHEDRALS), through the Directorship of Vigilance Epidemiol?gica (Dive), informs the cases of respiratory serious diseases. In the year of 2012, 1.080 cases were registered, up to the last Sunday (17), being 73 deaths. Of this, four for seasonal influenza, 28 influenza A H1N1 and 39 for other agents. Two cases wait for confirmation laboratorial.
