Florida reported a record number of weekly COVID-19 cases, the state Department of Health announced Friday.

The state's COVID-19 cases increased slightly between Aug. 20 and 26, compared to the previous week, with 151,749 new cases, according to the FDOH. The state's total is 3,179,714.

The previous peak was 151,461 reported the week of Aug. 8.
