Five Year Old in Colorado, Hospitalized with Flu, Suffered Stroke

Ronan Kelly

Retired 2020
I just got this e-mail from my sister this morning:

"A friend's 5 yr old nephew in CO was hospitalized with the flu, ended up on a heart/lung machine and has now had a stroke--losing 1/8 of his brain function--very scary situation. In addition to nausea/diarrhea..he had a high fever and the hospital sent them home the first visit."

How many other cases of serious permanent damage are out there in addition to the fatalities?
