Begins immunization campaign against influenza in the region of Valpara?soLa SEREMI Health Region confirmed the first death Valparaiso nationwide H1N1 virus, in the town of San Felipe.

This is a 36 year old man was admitted with pneumonia arising from influenza infection by an Aug. 8 at St. Camillus Hospital of San Felipe, and who, because of its complex state, died last Friday after spending connected to mechanical ventilation days.

The most serious, as said Seremi Health Jamett Jaime, is that the man had not been vaccinated against the H1N1 virus, considering his state of chronically ill patient due to diabetes.
