Many people are passing on the option for a flu vaccine, only a year after the swine flu pandemic led Americans to line up for flu shots, two studies now sugggest.
A Consumer Reports survey shows that only 37% of people plan to definitely get vaccinated this year. Around 30% say they definitely won?t get the flu shot, and 31% are undecided, according to the survey of 1500.
Retailer CVS surveyed 1,300 adults and 59% of those surveyed said they were likely to get a flue shot this year. Nearly two-thirds of the respondents were aware that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends flu shots or anyone over 6 months old, but only half said that advice influenced their decision.
