Abstract
Do not overestimate the value of a rapid influenza test. The sensitivity of these tests ranges between 10% and 70% in 2009 H1N1 influenza infection. Provide chemoprophylaxis for pregnant women who have close contacts with suspected or confirmed influenza infection. Consider longer courses of oseltamivir (beyond the standard 75 mg twice daily for 5 days) among hospitalized patients.
