Febbre emorragica da virus Ebola in Guinea

Il ministero della Salute della Guinea ha notificato all?Organizzazione mondiale della sanit? (Oms) un focolaio in rapida evoluzione di febbre emorragica da virus Ebola.

Al 26 marzo 2014, sono 86 i casi sospetti segnalati, di cui 62 decessi (letalit?: 72%).

Undici dei casi segnalati sono stati confermati in laboratorio.

I casi si sono verificati in tre distretti della Guinea sud-orientale (Guekedou, Macenta e Kissidougou).

Sono in corso indagini epidemiologiche anche in Liberia e Sierra Leone, al confine con la Guinea.

Lo riferisce la sede centrale dell?Oms e l?Ufficio regionale Oms per l?Africa.
