Abaza stressed in his speech, the Ninth Scientific Conference of the Egyptian Veterinary Association held on Monday, delivered by Dr. Saad Nassar, the importance of poultry production sector as a source of cheap animal protein to low-income, noting that the value of the investment in this sector up to 20 billion pounds, and works by more than 1.5 million workers and a total production of about 2 million birds a day.
He expected the Minister of Agriculture increased support for the Compensation Fund as it reached 600 million pounds, adding that the fund will contribute to the provision of loans for new farms.
Abaza and criticized the secrecy of some educators and farmers to outbreaks, and said that during the past two months, the ministry did not receive, but only one complaint, only one case, although monitoring of the compensation fund for 3.5 million pounds in compensation.
For his part, attacked Dr. Fathi Saad, Governor of 6th October and President of the Conference the malfunctioning of the General Authority for Veterinary Services on the development of the poultry industry and disease control.
Saad called on the need to draw support for the industry and the development of human cadres and providing solutions and plans clear that educators face in order to implement the strategy developed by the Ministry of Agriculture to promote this important industry.
The Governor of 6th October to the need to reconsider some of the decisions and policies for the industry, which is one of the cheapest protein in Egypt, and called for concerted efforts of the authorities of the Ministry and the Union of Poultry Producers and the development of clear plans for the development of the sector.
