The number of cases of influenza AH1N1 hit 230, with 22 deaths due to the disease, said on Thursday the Network of Venezuelan Medical and Scientific Societies, the Centre for Development Studies (Cendes) of the Central University of Venezuela, the National Academy of Medicine, the Venezuelan Society of Epidemiology and the Network Advocating Epidemiology.

The doctors said that the country is facing an "outbreak" of influenza AH1N1 that began on the epidemiological week 17 in M?rida.

They added that currently "there is evidence of wide-sweeping spreading to 16 states" and may to Colombia...
