A 31 year old woman and a child under 17 admitted yesterday to filter Mario Rivas hospital with suspected influenza A/H1N1.
Both patients were taking samples to verify or dismiss the case of the virus.
The medical center officials reported that enter everyday people with symptoms similar to H1N1 but only confirmed cases once they have the results of the National Virology Laboratory in Tegucigalpa.
The results are received by the health authorities about seven days after being sent.
During this period staff provides them with Tamiflu Mario Rivas, who is the treatment used to combat the virus.
In some cases patients need to remain hospitalized, some are sent home under house recommendations as isolation.
Victor Hernandez, director of the hospital have said that the drugs needed to care for patients admitted to the filters.
He noted that there are doctors and nurses all day to receive people with symptoms of the virus.
Staff also assists patients with equipment such as masks, gloves and everything necessary to prevent contagion.
Arturo Bendana, head of Health, said now it is 66 confirmed cases in the country so far this year.
He recommended people to take the measures required to avoid becoming a victim of the virus and symptoms should go to the nearest health center.
