Northeast Man, 51, Dies From H1N1

EL PASO, Texas -- A 51-year-old man from Northeast El Paso died from the H1N1 virus, the Department of Public Health reported Friday.
The man had underlying medical conditions and laboratory tests confirmed that he did have the H1N1 virus, said spokesman Armando Saldivar.
Health care providers in El Paso County have ordered more than 600,000 H1N1 vaccine doses. The Department of Public Health distributed more than 20,000 doses of vaccine to the community over the past several weeks, in addition to nearly 100,000 doses that have been distributed by other local providers.
