Eight suspected cases of atypical hepatitis in Portugal: doctors go back until October to look for cases
Doctors are not only looking out for new cases, they are also looking at older cases with fresh eyes.

So far, eight suspected cases of atypical hepatitis have been identified in children in Portugal. Rui Tato Marinho, coordinator of the National Commission on Viral Hepatitis, said doctors are looking for evidence of the disease in cases dating back to October last year.

The Directorate-General for Health revealed this Monday that the working group that is monitoring the global outbreak of acute hepatitis in children will report on the situation in writing every day. The first will be this Tuesday, around 11:00 am...
