حذر الدكتور حاتم الجبلى وزير الصحة، من انتقال أنفلونزا الطيور بين البشر، فى ظل التراخى الشعبى فى مواجهة المرض.​

جاء ذلك فى تصريح خاص لليوم السابع على هامش افتتاح المؤتمر السنوى للجمعية العربية للأمراض الجلدية والجذام.​

وأشار وزير الصحة إلى أن التراخى فى التعامل مع الطيور، يعد السبب الأساسى فى انتشار المرض مؤخرا، خاصة فى ظل تأكد الناس من أن المرض لا ينتقل فى الصيف، وهذه معلومة خاطئة، حيث إن فصل الصيف هو بداية انتشار أنفلونزا الطيور، و"هو أخطر وقت".​
