He pointed out that the occasion of the winter season, the Council stressed the importance of continued vigilance on bird flu and the continued efforts of public awareness of the disease and the continuing danger to Egypt either to humans or poultry and the Minister of Health to the degree of importance of the continued high alert against the disease despite the improvement in the situation where he witnessed 8 injured in 2008 of which 4 died in comparison to 2007 which saw 25 cases of injury and death of 9 of them.
