Egypt succeeded in producing a vaccine against bird flu and horses in use next January

اعتمد مجلس إدارة مركز البحوث الزراعية خلال اجتماعه الاثنين الماضى برئاسة أمين أباظة، وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضى، الموافقة على إنتاج أول مصل مصرى لمكافحة أنفلونزا الخيول تمهيداً لطرحه على نطاق تجارى للمحافظة على ثروة مصر من الخيول العربية يناير المقبل.

The Governing Council of Agricultural Research Center during a meeting Monday chaired by Amin Abaza, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, to approve the production of the first vaccine against avian Egyptian horses in preparation to be put on a commercial scale to preserve the wealth of the Arabian horses Egypt next January.

وقال الدكتور أيمن فريد أبوحديد، رئيس مركز البحوث الزراعية، إن معهد الأمصال واللقاحات البيطرية بالعباسية نجح فى إنتاج مصل مضاد لمرض أنفلونزا الخيول لأول مرة، بهدف تحصين أكثر من ٥ آلاف من الخيول العربية المصرية ومقاومة المرض الذى ظهر بداية العام الحالى.

"Dr. Ayman Farid Obouhdid, head of the Center for Agricultural Research, the Institute of vaccines and veterinary vaccines, Cairo has succeeded in producing a vaccine against bird flu horses for the first time, aiming to reach more than 5 thousands of Egyptian Arabian horses and resistance to disease, which emerged early this year.

ولفت أبوحديد إلى أنه من المقرر أن يتم إنتاج لقاح أنفلونزا الخيول لاستخدامه فى تحصين الخيول بدءاً من منتصف يناير المقبل.

He pointed out that Obouhdid scheduled to be the production of flu vaccine for use in horses vaccinated horses from mid-January.
