أعلن الدكتور حاتم الجبلى وزير الصحة، أن الفترة القادمة ستشهد عدداً كبيراً من الإصابات بشكل ملحوظ قد تصل إلى أكثر من 250 فى اليوم الواحد، وقد تزيد على ألف حالة فى الأسبوع، وقال إن وزارة الصحة تستعد لذلك خلال الفترة القادمة من فصل الشتاء.
وأشار الوزير إلى أن خطة الوزارة فى الفترة القادمة ستستهدف الحفاظ على نسبة الوفيات بحيث تكون منخفضة، مع المحافظة على نسبة الشفاء العالية المرتفعة حالياًَ التى تصل إلى 99.7% والتى ترجع إلى الكشف المبكر عن المرض والالتزام بالقواعد الطبية فى العلاج مع ضرورة استشارة الطبيب المناسب والالتزام بالتعليمات.
جاء ذلك تعليقاً على ارتفاع نسبة الإصابات اليومية إلى 197 حالة أمس، بالإضافة إلى حالة الوفاة السابعة التى كانت لسيدة حامل فى شهرها الثانى.
