كشفت مديرية الطب البيطرى بالغربية عن إصابة عشرات الحيوانات بمرضى السل والبروسيلا داخل عدد كبير بمركز مزارع المواشى فى كفر الزيات بعد التأكد من إيجابية العينات التى أخذت منها، وقررت ذبح الرؤوس المصابة والتخلص من لحومها، معلنة عن حالة الطوارئ لمواجهة المرض. اتهم عدد من أصحاب المزارع الصغيرة للماشية، التى ظهرت فيها إصابات بمرض السل فى الأيام الماضية بمحافظة الغربية، إدارة الطب البيطرى بكفر الزيات، بالإهمال بسبب عدم قيام المسؤولين بها بتحصين المواشى بصورة دورية ومجاملة أصحاب المزارع الكبرى، وقال أصحاب المزارع: إن هناك عدداً من الأطباء العاملين بإدارة الطب البيطرى بالمحافظة، يعملون فى نفس الوقت لدى كبرى مزارع المواشى بكفر الزيات، التى يمتلكها رجال أعمال، ويتغاضون عن أخذ عينات سل لتحليلها من هذه المزارع مجاملة لأصحابها.
