Egypt dealt with swine flu realistically: Int?l organizations


A number of representatives of specialized international organizations praised the Egyptian government for its way of dealing with the H1N1 virus despite the fact that its citizens were among those who did not receive vaccination.

The Egyptian government has handled the whole issue with transparency, which prompted those organizations to cooperate with it to contain the spread of the disease, the representatives said during a press conference Thursday held by David Nabarro, the United Nations System Coordinator for Influenza, and James Rawley, the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Egypt.
