7,876 people were arrested for not wearing protective masks within 24 hours

Within 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior agencies at the level of the Republic arrested 7876 people for not wearing protective masks, and reconciliation and payment of the prescribed fine was made to 7831 people, and legal measures were taken and presented to the Public Prosecution regarding 45 people who did not pay the prescribed fine.
The forces also issued 694 violations of the shops that did not comply with the decision to close, and seized 157 cases in the field of preventing the circulation of water pipes, with a total of 909 hookahs seized, and the necessary legal measures were taken and submitted to the Public Prosecution.
This is within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s keenness on the safety of citizens and in implementation of the precautionary measures taken by state agencies, to limit the spread of the new Corona virus, to preserve public health, and to face the repercussions of the spread of the virus.
In light of the Council of Ministers’ decision to take precautionary and preventive measures to protect citizens, limit the spread of the “Corona” virus, which includes regulating the opening and closing dates of public shops, and obligating all drivers of mass transportation to wear protective masks.
