Warned Dr. Nahed Ramzy, Counselor Psychology National Center for Social and Criminal Research, the seriousness of some of the practices against the children of workers, stressing that the economic benefits to be gained from the elimination of child labor outweigh the costs that would result from the continuation by seven times, according to a study released by the Labor Organization recently.
Nahid said, during the ?forced labor and human rights in the context of trafficking in human beings?, organized by the National Center for Social and Criminal Research yesterday ?Sunday?, the number of child labor in Egypt amounted to 2.8 million working children, according to the latest study by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood in cooperation with the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in 2006, noting that some of these children were attending school during the period of their work.
The negative effects of child labor include the deterioration of their health, as noted one of the studies conducted by the National Center for Social and Criminal Research in cooperation with the United Nations, on a sample of working children under the age of 15 years, to 21.8% of these children are infected with schistosomiasis and 22.8% of them are infected with chronic diarrhea, and 21.9% infected Altnip symptoms such as persistent and chronic, and 2.8% suffering from the effects of a severe bout of popularity, and 1% suffer from heart diseases.
And Dr. Nahed that child labor in the industrial shop is one of the most acts of violence against working children, showed the study by the National Center for Social and Criminal Research, the number of working children, the mechanical Porsche was 46.41%,
While the number to 21.38% in the workshops of chemicals, and 18.73% in the textile workshops, while the proportion of female workers Balmdapg industry and hoses, plastic pipes and dyeing and Aldjelko to 54.72%, and mechanical industries, to 11.32%.

وقالت ناهد، خلال مؤتمر ?العمل القسرى وحقوق الإنسان فى إطار الاتجار بالبشر?، الذى نظمه المركز القومى للبحوث الاجتماعية والجنائية أمس الأول ?الأحد?، إن عدد عمالة الأطفال فى مصر بلغ ٢.٨ مليون طفل عامل وفقاً لآخر دراسة أجراها المجلس القومى للأمومة والطفولة بالتعاون مع الجهاز المركزى للتعبئة العامة والإحصاء فى عام ٢٠٠٦، مشيرة إلى أن بعض هؤلاء الأطفال كانوا يلتحقون بالمدارس أثناء فترة عملهم.

وأوضحت أن الآثار السلبية لعمالة الأطفال تشمل تدهور حالتهم الصحية، حيث أشارت إحدى الدراسات التى أجراها المركز القومى للبحوث الاجتماعية والجنائية بالتعاون مع منظمة الأمم المتحدة، على عينة من الأطفال العاملين تحت سن ١٥ سنة، إلى أن ٢١.٨% من هؤلاء الأطفال مصابون بمرض البلهارسيا، و٢٢.٨% منهم مصابون بحالات إسهال مزمن، و٢١.٩% مصابون بأعراض التعنية كحالة مستمرة ومزمنة، و٢.٨% يعانون من آثار نزلة شعبية حادة، و١% يعانون من أمراض بالقلب.

وأشارت الدكتورة ناهد إلى أن عمالة الأطفال فى الورش الصناعية تعد من أكثر أعمال العنف التى يتعرض لها الأطفال العاملون، حيث أظهرت الدراسة التى أعدها المركز القومى للبحوث الاجتماعية والجنائية أن عدد الأطفال العاملين بورش الأعمال الميكانيكية بلغ ٤٦.٤١%،

بينما وصل عددهم إلى ٢١.٣٨% فى ورش الكيماويات، و١٨.٧٣% فى ورش النسيج، بينما ارتفعت نسبة الإناث من العاملين بالمدابغ وصناعة الخراطيم ومواسير البلاستيك والصباغة والدوكو إلى ٥٤.٧٢%، والصناعات الميكانيكية إلى ١١.٣٢%.
