احتجزت سلطات الحجر الصحى بميناء سفاجا، ٤ مصريين قادمين من السعودية، بينهم ٣ من أسرة واحدة، للاشتباه فى إصابتهم بأنفلونزا الخنازير. كان الركاب، وهم يوسف محمد عبدالباقى، ٣٠ سنة، وخالد محمد عثمان، ٤٦ سنة، وزوجته نجاة إبراهيم كامل، ٣٠ سنة، وابنهما مروان،١٠ سنوات، قادمين من ميناء ضبا السعودى، على متن العبارة المتحدة، عندما ظهرت عليهم أعراض المرض، فتم حجزهم وتحويلهم إلى قسم العزل بمستشفى الغردقة العام، وأخذ عينات منهم لإرسالها إلى المعامل المركزية بوزارة الصحة، وتم تطهير وتعقيم العبارة بعد إخلائها من الركاب للتأكد من عدم وجود أى آثار للعدوى.
