كانت مديرية الصحة قد تلقت أمس إخطارا من الحجر الصحى الإدارة العامة بوصول 38 مواطنا مصريا قادمين من دول الاتحاد الأوربى وكندا وأمريكا وإسرائيل تم وضعهم تحت المراقبة المستمرة والملاحظة الدائمة لمدة عشرة أيام مع وضع المخالطين المباشرين لهم تحت المراقبة لمدة 5 أيام، خاصة أن الدول القادمين منها هى دول موبوءة بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير ليرتفع عدد الحالات الموجودة تحت الملاحظة الطبية المستمرة أكثر من 300 مواطن قادمون من الخارج خشية ظهور أعراض مرض أنفلونزا الخنازير، بينما لم تستدل مديرية الصحة بالغربية على عناوين 8 أشخاص قادمين من أوربا بعد تدوين عناوين خطأ فى كارت المعلومات التى تم تدوينها بالحجر الصحى بمطار القاهرة.​

وسعت منظمة الصحة العالمية من دائرة الاشتباه بالدول المصابة بفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير إلى 39 دولة، حيث سيتم خضوع جميع الركاب القادمين منها لإجراءات الفحص الطبى المشدد بمطار القاهرة الدولى.​
