An official report on the map of the spread of infectious diseases and epidemics of livestock and birds, four provinces are free of any infections of bird flu, foot and mouth disease and skin nodule (Aswan, Red Sea, North and South Sinai), as part of efforts to immunize and vaccinate strains against these diseases.

According to a report by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the incidence of animal and pedophilic infections in epidemics has declined significantly over the past year compared with the previous year, with outbreaks of bird flu, nodal skin and foot and mouth disease.

The data showed that 8 governorates have eradicated avian influenza: Aswan, Red Sea, New Valley, Matruh, North and South Sinai, Suez and Port Said. The focal points of the infection decreased to 159 foci, 17 foci, Sohag with 16 foci, and Ismailia with 15 cases.

As for nodal skin disease, the infection foci decreased in only 4 governorates: Port Said, Monoufiya, and Qalibia, Ismailia and Giza respectively, while no other governorates recorded any cases.

The incidence of foot-and-mouth disease decreased to 123 foci, with the highest incidence in Dakahlia governorates with 29 cases, the lake with 15 cases, Menoufia with 9 cases and sways with 8 cases, and 7 governorates with no FMD (Cairo, Giza, Qena, Aswan, Red Sea, North and South Sinai).
