MATHER, Pa. (AP) ? The state Department of Environmental Protection says it has found the earliest-ever sample of West Nile virus in a mosquito from southwestern Pennsylvania.

The mosquito which tested positive for the disease was found in Morgan Township, Greene County on May 17.
