DAVANAGERE: One of the most deadliest disease which had attacked all ages in entire state, particularly in Davanagere, Chikungunya fever has made people suffer with lot of pain and it was also seeking proper medical advise from allopathy, homeopathy and ayurveda.
Dr G Guruprasad described the word CHIKUNGUNYA as:
C-Caused by alpha virus and spread by ?Aedes aegypti? mosquitoes
H-High grade fever is usual
I-Incubation period is 3-10 ten days, Intense joint pain and swelling, frustrating
K-Kindly keep away from mosquitoes
U-Unheard in developed world till date
N-Never get panicky and depressed
G-Good prognosis despite long standing clinical course
U-Uniformly affects all ages from new born to old age
N-Non-steroid anti inflammatory drugs like Diclofenac, Ibubrufen, Paracetemol will suffice, No effective vaccine discovered yet.
Y-Yes; one attack confers life long immunity
