DOVER, Del. - January 15, 2013 (WPVI) -- Delaware health officials say there have been outbreaks of norovirus in the state this month.

The Division of Public Health received its first report of the gastrointestinal virus on Jan. 3 and has investigated several cases since then.

Delaware Dept. of Public Health reports more norovirus cases in First State

Delaware?s Division of Public Health is keeping an eye on the spread of norovirus in Delaware.

DPH officials say since the start of 2013 they?ve investigated and confirmed nine norovirus clusters. Results on the other Delaware clusters are pending.

At this time last year, Delaware had only four reported clusters.

One of the Delaware clusters was determined to be caused by the new Sydney strain of the virus...
