Video shows them gathered round the woman screaming at her with their faces inches from her. All or most had masks on, but that is not adequate safety during an assault like this.

Protesters in the video can be seen chanting "white silence is violence" as they appear to demand that diners raise their fists in solidarity.

The crowd can be seen screaming at and heckling one woman in particular, identified by the Post as Lauren B. Victor, for several minutes on 18th Street.

"I felt I was under attack," Victor told the Washington Post. Victor said she felt that it was wrong to be coerced to show support in that way....
