“The tiger mosquito lays in clear waters and needs blood for its eggs to mature. By biting the man, it transmits the dengue virus to him. Its particularity is to sting the day with a peak at 3 p.m., “said the director general of the INHP, noting that the disease is more present in the municipalities of Cocody and Bingerville with the most 57 cases.
He recommended that people empty water tanks such as flower pot cups, cover water recovery cans with a cloth, and introduce fish into ornamental ponds.
“You can also eliminate mosquito resting places by maintaining vegetation. Pruning trees, clearing hedges, avoiding the storage of plant debris, should keep the tiger mosquito away. ", he added.
The disease is manifested by fever, headache, intense fatigue, body aches, muscle aches, lack of appetite. There are a total of 4 types of dengue, the most dangerous of which is dengue type 3, which manifests itself in bleeding from the nose, mouth, stools and can lead to death.
