83 dengue cases reported, with mild symptoms and youth most affected

Te Marae Ora (TMO) Ministry of Health has reported 83 dengue cases since February this year with 65 cases fully recovered.

In its latest dengue update, TMO confirmed six active cases to date.

Seventy-seven people who were infected with the virus have recovered, with one recorded in the Pa Enua.

Looking at TMO’s situation report 14 people were hospitalised and have been discharged.

TMO has been conducting perifocal spraying of positive residence in Nikao that has reported 19 cases, Ruaau 7, Akaoa 9, Murienua 4, Titikaveka 10, Ngatangiia 7, Matavera 4, Takuvaine 4, RAPPA 2 and Tupapa 16.

The active cases are present in Nikao, Rappa, Tupapa, Akaoa and Titikaveka.​..
